2020 has been quite a rollercoaster for the whole world collectively and for our little family as well. When I last posted here in April we had no idea that we’d be moving again (you can hear the full story here on our podcast) but we did end up deciding to move, finding our dream home and moving all in just a matter of months.
It’s been bugging me all summer that I haven’t been posting here. I took some time to to decide whether it was time for me to close this down or re-commit to posting more. After a lot of through I’ve decided to re-commit. I am deeply in need of a creative outlet and so I am going to start posting here frequently in a micro-blog style. I share all my home content and DIYs on ABM (so please follow there too!). So what you will see here will be short posts. I have some hobbies I have been messing around with I’d like to share here, I am also going to try sharing some outfits just for fun and I will continue sharing adoption and parenting stuff here as well.
COVID and staying home a lot have changed my life in so many ways. I was always a homebody, but I miss people more now and I value friendship more. I think by the time we’re able to throw a big party again I will appreciate it a hundred times more! There are so many things I will appreciate more after all this is over someday. Like restaurants, wow!
For now we are using this time to have fun cooking with our kids, go swimming every single day and work on creative projects here at home. It’s a weird mix of heartbreaking and magical all at once.
I’m really looking forward to using this space as a creative outlet in this coming season. Thanks for following along! Elsie
