This year was Jeremy’s and my first Christmas with Nova, and her first Christmas celebrated in the way that American’s celebrate it (it’s not a major holiday in China). We kept it pretty simple this year since we had just been home from China for one week. Nova didn’t have much interest in gifts (neither did we) so we spent our days working on a new routine here in our home.
Although I plan to make a bigger deal of the holiday next year, we did begin a few traditions this year. We made cookies (mostly me making them and Nova eating them) and we made ornaments. Jeremy played so many rounds of Jingle Bells on the piano too, and she just loved it!
