We’re finally packing big brown boxes. I am so thankful that I took the past six months to get rid of some things because moving makes me realize that I really have too much stuff. Donating has been extremely healthy for me (I wrote about my closet clean-out process here) Even though we are moving to a much larger home, I am so scared of it feeling full and cluttered that I am trying to let go of just a few more pieces of furniture. I mean, we have to fit Jeremy’s piano somewhere and I still really want to purchase an old fashioned photo booth for our home. (might be a bit unrealistic, but how cool would that be?!)
Anyway, here are a few photos from this week! Pictured above: David’s Tea. I’m in love with this tea + have the perfect spot for them in the new kitchen! Favorites include: Jessie’s Tea, Birthday Cake, Forever Nuts and Movie Night. If you’re a tea fan, I highly recommend these. Packing means finding fun stuff like these photos from Arrow & Apple and this 5 year old photo booth pic of Emma and I. Packing also means choosing which items may not fit in with the decor in the new home. This is hard when you are sentimental and get attached to stuff. But sometimes a fresh start is good for creativity, so I will probably sell a few decorations in our local shop. Dolly… just because. She’s our little poser. Choosing couch fabrics is harder than I thought it would be. I’m becoming obsessed and making mood boards for every room. (plus this pinboard about the fresh vibe i want to create) Jeremy gave me a serious chat last week while I was freaking out over the color of a door. He told me to relax and enjoy the whole process and that’s what I am going to do! Top knots- this is how my hair ends up at the end of every day, no matter how it starts out! And last, my cheesy little packing diagram. I packed this room a couple weeks ago. Can you believe that all the Holiday stuff we own fits in that little wooden crate? I’m gonna fix that this year! I’m looking forward to going all out with Holiday decor.
