Christian Robinson x Target collection

Christian Robinson is our favorite illustrator. We love all his books and have many art prints in our home. So when I heard he would be launching a Target collection I was so happy! We saw the collection for the first time in Target this past weekend and WOW, it’s beautiful! I’m linking to my favorite pieces here.

Butterfly chalkboard (!!!), kids pjs, caterpillar pjs (I didn’t see these in our store, but just added them to my cart online). Yellow sweater and matching pants. Nova chose this dinosaur set (bottoms here) I love getting my kids matching sets for school because it’s just so easy. Quilted jacket, pop up tent, and oh my goshhhh the school bus backpack is SO GOOD. Here’s the pillow (love the “you matter” one as well) and the rainbow blanket. This subtle rainbow bedding is wonderful as well.

I love that the collection is gender neutral and full of rainbows. Brings my heart so much joy!

Shop Small Sunday (Etsy Finds)

Happy Sunday! I’m breaking my silent steak with TWO posts today. I have decided to start a weekly feature here for small shops. I shop on Etsy constantly,  but it won’t always been just Etsy shops.

This shop has a huge selection of Liberty Of London print dresses for kids at affordable prices. If you enjoy these types of preppy/traditional outfits for kiddos this shop is an incredible find. My husband calls them “little house on the prairie” clothes haha. I personally am obsessed. Pictured above is this yellow smocked dress and the coral sundress.

I love these simple round sunnies. They come in great colors.

Here’s another acorn bag. So cute!

I love these wands. I got two for our girls stockings last Christmas and they just look so cute laying around the houses all the time.

Every baby needs a tiny Nirvana onesie, right?

Ok… moving on to things that aren’t pictured above, I just ordered Nova this girl scout cookie dress and I’ve picked up a bunch of fall clothes for Marigold from this shop. It’s really cute if you love 70s and 90s style clothing for little kids.

I’m wishing you a great Sunday! We’re about to hop in the pool and then have a family movie night (probably a premature Halloween movie, just being honest). XX

Disney World 2021

We took a road trip to Florida last month to join Jeremy’s family on their family vacation. We visited the Disney parks, but also had lots of days off in between to spend with family. The girls have a lot of cousins on this side of our family. It was our first 10 hour road trip with two little kids!

Road Trip Suggestions (for the car): We got these back of seat organizers (this is a two pack) and it was a HUGE success in helping the kids have access to their iPads, headphones, snacks and water on our long drives. We also got these neck fans, which were very helpful for summer in a theme park.

We let Marigold bring her Elsa dress for the Frozen ride in Epcot and she didn’t take it off for the rest of the day- haha.

After the trip I had a lot of questions about whether Disney “felt safe” and “was worth it” right now. My honest answer is- not really. At the time we went guests were only required on transportation in and out of the park. Also it’s important to know that a lot of things are closed due to Covid- like character meetings. I definitely would not recommend right now as your “main” Disney experience. But since we were going with Jeremy’s family we considered it a bonus experience for our girls that we were going to Disney- but really we were there to see family. I have heard that this month the rules changed again due to Covid spikes- so just keep that in mind and get up to date information. And of course, California’s Disney park has completely different protocol.

That said, since we hadn’t done a trip in so long and since our kids are great ages we had our BEST Disney trip ever. I also think that us keeping our expectations extremely low made our experience even better.

The best double travel stroller ever (and it’s cleared to take into Disney parks since a lot of double strollers are too large). It’s been to China and back twice, since we took it and some of our friends borrowed it for their trip too. Their single travel stroller is our other favorite.

Nova is six and she doesn’t normally use a stroller anymore, but for theme parks it is 100% worth it and necessary in my opinion.

I’m really grateful we had a chance to go this summer (before the Delta spikes) and I will definitely make the kids a photo book to remember it by. We decided to chill for the fall season and just focus on family and getting into the groove of Kindergarten for Nova.
