We spent a good part of our Memorial Day weekend cutting up cardboard boxes and building a little house that we call “Nova’s fixer upper”. We had so much fun! We did the building part (well, a box knife and packing tape… not really “building”) while she was napping.
Jeremy skipped his nap to make this little house with me… that’s love!
lol. We attempted to let her help paint. It was a good effort. But, like, ten seconds or so after I took this photo she was ready to play her Daniel Tiger game while I painted the whole thing. 🙂
After that I think my DIY side took over because I couldn’t stop until it was totally finished. We added a wreath, shiplap (haha), shutters and a door mat.
She loves it so much! We have already spent a LOT of time inside this tiny house with her.
We feel like the luckiest family in the world! Making these memories with her is everything. Most of the time I wish I could freeze time, so I am trying to just soak it in every day. Only a few more weeks with our two year old girl!
