A Road Trip Date.
Sometimes leaving town for just a bit can be so good for our relationship! We always look forward to quick trips here and there. This weekend we took a short trip to St. Louis for a little Christmas shopping…
We stayed at a hotel that was maybe a little too fancy for us and we enjoyed treats like espresso martinis and crepes for breakfast.
Check out that giant homemade marshmallow on my hot chocolate. That was pretty amazing.
We had fun shopping for gifts, met a few blog readers (hiii!) and collected a few special ornaments for our tree. It was a fun and relaxing weekend. I always love chatting on the car ride home.
I’m thankful for this guy and a chance to have extra “just us” time after a VERY busy Autumn with both our jobs. We’re planning a very low key December full of quality time together. I can’t believe this will be our fifth Christmas as a couple. ♥
