a biz brunch at aviary this morning + whiskey and ginger nights with the girls.
filled pancakes (aebleskiver) with cayt + autumn leaves on the longest driving day ever. we went from chicago to st. louis to kansas city to springfield all in one day. it was worth it for the conversations, though.
finding a new flea market + starting a new thrifted collection.
seeing some of our besties play in our favorite theater (we got engaged there) + wearing this guy on my finger. i still smile every time it catches my eye.
life is good. that is all.
Painted White Staircase.
We originally planned a black and white staircase, but it just was not working out due to our (sweet) fawn pug who sheds like crazy. We finally decided to take the plunge and go all white! I am so happy with the choice. It’s bright and happy, really lightens up the space. Our painter used a very sturdy sealer so that the white would be protected and easier to clean. We are pretty excited!
Here’s what the staircase looked like when we bought the house. I love looking back at “before” photos as a reminder of how far we’ve already come. Yay!
Today Emma and I are off to stalk our favorite small town flea market about 40 minutes away. I’m crossing my fingers to find some of the smaller furniture pieces I’ve been hunting!
