We had a few visitors today. It was a perfect Sunday. I put away kitchen stuff and then we made tuna melts. Off to watch a movie with Larson….
Moving Day.
We did it! We moved in. I’m sitting here in my new bedroom typing this while Jeremy and some of our (wonderful) friends bring one last load of heavy furniture over! All day I’ve been moving boxes to their proper rooms and putting away dishes, books and clothing. I love this part! Here are a few snapshots from our moving day…
(This is how I label boxes.)
(This is how Jeremy labels boxes… he’s real funny.)
The best part of moving day is putting things in their new spots.
Washing a few new dishes I’ve been collecting.
Sorting records is one of my favorite things.
Moving can be stressful for pets. Last time we moved Suki whined for days. This time they have each other and I think that helps. They played in the backyard all afternoon and now they are taking naps by me. We will make sure they get extra snuggles this week.
Pretty much what our entire home looks like at this stage. I’m not letting this stress me out. It will probably look this way for at least a week or two. I’m just happy that we’re here and as long as I can find my toothbrush, everything is good.
My pretty new blogging spot. I’m counting my lucky stars that we were able to get internet fixed up here before our moving day… that NEVER happens for us. double yay!
I’m looking forward to taking my time and slowly decorating each room. We will probably live in this home for a long time, so I’m purposefully trying to put a lot of thought into all of the stuff we invest time and money in. No rushing here! Now, I’m off to make some tea in the new kitchen… Thank you so much for sharing our joy today. I’m so thankful for this new roof over our heads and new season to enjoy together.
