Hello from Palm Springs! My family spent a long weekend here to work on videos for our new app (it’s coming out in about a month… I’ll share more when the time comes- AUGH!). We made some really special videos together and had an incredible time. It’s 100% different and much more difficult to travel with a toddler, but it’s so worth it for the high points of each day! We go at a much slower pace and probably once an hour I’m giving myself a pep talk in my brain about lowering my expectations and going with the flow. But when it’s magic- it’s magic!
Palm Springs is decently kid friendly. Although at the hotels (on the weekends) there are a lot of drunk people and loud music. We’ll probably do more bnbs in the future just while our kids are little so we can have a little more space and privacy. As far as places we go and things we do in Palm Springs, we do all the same things we did before kids (minus bars, of course). We love to visit Moorten Botanical Gardens, the Cabazon Dinosaurs, Joshua Tree National Park and we eat way more ice cream than any other time of the year. For eating out our favorite spot is Birba and we like King’s Highway and Norma’s for breakfast. I honestly feel comfortable taking Nova anywhere we would want to go- even to nice restaurants here. The biggest change from our pre-kid life is just going at a slower pace (like VERY slow!) and having a different schedule with naps and bedtime.
Anyway! I just wanted to share a few snapshots from my iPhone (all edited with A Color Story app). We took some SLR photos too but I forgot my card reader at home, so I’ll share some of those later on. xx
